Simple Pork Shoulder Roast topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 pork shoulder weighing 2 kg.
- 3 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 3 tablespoons chopped garlic
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 220°C.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture over the entire pork shoulder.
- Place the meat on a rack set in a roasting pan. Roast for 20 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C) and continue roasting until a meat thermometer inserted into the blade registers 185°F (85°C), about 4 hours.
- Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest until cool, about 30 minutes.
