Summer salad with strawberries

Ingredients:

  • 180 g strawberries
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 bunch of lettuce
  • A handful of pine nuts

Preparation:

  1. Dissolve 2 teaspoons sugar and 1.5 teaspoons coarse salt in 1 cup hot water. Add 1 cup quartered strawberries, 1/4 cup red wine vinegar, and 1 thinly sliced ​​shallot; let steep for 10 minutes. Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon.
  2. Toss 1 bunch each of torn red and green lettuce with 2 tablespoons olive oil, strawberry juice, berries, and shallots; season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with toasted pine nuts.
