Spicy Nut and Pretzel Cocktail

Ingredients:

    Spice mix

  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1.5 tsp paprika
  • 1.5 tsp chopped fresh thyme
  • 3/4 tsp ground mustard
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

    Nuts

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup unsalted raw cashews
  • 1 cup unsalted raw peanuts
  • 1 cup unsalted raw pecans
  • 1 cup unsalted raw walnuts
  • 1.5 cups mini pretzels
  • Vegetable oil to grease the baking sheet

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C. Lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet with vegetable oil.
  2. Spice mix: Combine sugar, paprika, thyme, mustard, cinnamon, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. NutsPlace the egg white in a large bowl and whisk until foamy. Add the cashews, peanuts, pecans, walnuts, and pretzels and stir to coat. Add the spice mixture and stir again to coat.
  4. Spread the nut mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, 15-20 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheet, then transfer the mixture to a large bowl.
