Ingredients:
- 60 g semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 medium bananas
- 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1/4 of a small pineapple, diced, core removed (about 1 cup)
- 4 scoops of 1/4 cup strawberry ice cream
- 4 pitted cherries
- Special equipment: 4 parfait, wine, or whiskey glasses
Preparation:
- Place the chocolate in a small microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring, until smooth.
- Slice the bananas into 0.5 cm thick rounds and toss them with most of the walnuts in a medium bowl. Reserve a few for garnish.
- Assembling the parfait:
Divide the pineapple chunks evenly among 4 glasses. Top with bananas and walnuts. Then top with a scoop of strawberry ice cream and drizzle with melted chocolate. Sprinkle with the remaining walnuts and garnish each glass with a cherry.
