Football Dip with Peanut Butter and Chocolate

topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 220 g cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (do not use natural peanut butter)
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cups dark chocolate mini-granules
  • 0.5 cup chocolate sprinkles
  • 0.5 tbsp. white chocolate mini granules
  • For serving: waffle cone pieces, pretzels, vanilla wafer cookies, and strawberries

Preparation:

  1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and peanut butter with a mixer on medium speed until smooth, 2–3 minutes. Reduce the mixer speed to low and add the powdered sugar and vanilla. Continue mixing until smooth, another 2–3 minutes.
  2. Add 3 tablespoons of dark chocolate. Cover the mixture and refrigerate to set for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the center of a serving plate, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and press lightly to adhere it to the plate. Use your hands to shape the cheese mixture into an American football shape. If the mixture becomes too soft, return it to the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  4. For decoration, mix the chocolate sprinkles with the remaining chocolate chips and set aside. Arrange the white chocolate chips around the laces of the ball, pressing gently to adhere them to the cheese mixture. Sprinkle the chocolate sprinkles over the ball, pressing gently to adhere them, and tilting the plate to completely cover the sides and edges of the soccer ball.
  5. Serve with a variety of appetizers (waffle cone pieces, pretzels, vanilla wafer cookies, and strawberries).
