Ingredients:
- 2 cups chopped mixed greens (such as kale, spinach, and/or Swiss chard)
- 1.5 cups chilled coconut water
- 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 green apple, peeled and chopped
- Half an avocado
- 2 tsp green food powder (see note)
- 2 tsp honey or agave syrup
- 2 tsp grated ginger root
- 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
Preparation:
- Combine greens, coconut water, pineapple, apple, avocado, powder, honey, ginger, lemon juice, and 1 cup of ice in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and drink.
Note: Greens powders, made from dried, powdered vegetables, are a convenient way to get the nutrients found in vegetables, but they don't provide all the benefits you get from eating whole foods.
