Steak and Chop Burger

Ingredients:

  • 450 g of ground beef
  • 3/4 cup Lawry's Garlic and Black Pepper Marinade
  • 2 medium portobello mushroom caps
  • 1 small green bell pepper, seeded and quartered lengthwise
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 4 slices Pepper Jack cheese
  • 4 slices Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns

Preparation:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef with 1/4 cup of the marinade until smooth. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Grill the patties for 5-7 minutes per side or until cooked through (internal temperature reaches 160°F/71°C). Top each patty with a slice of cheese one minute before doneness.
  3. Meanwhile, grill the vegetables and mushrooms for 5 to 10 minutes, or until tender, turning occasionally and brushing with the remaining 1/2 cup marinade.
  4. Slice the mushrooms and peppers into thin strips and place them on the bun-topped patties.
