Punch for a large company

Ingredients:

  • 450 ml freshly squeezed lime juice, seedless, from about 20 limes
  • 900 g of Demerara sugar
  • 2 liters of warm black tea
  • 1.5 l. Rum "Battavia-arak"
  • A piece of ice
  • Freshly grated nutmeg

Preparation:

  1. Combine the lime juice and remaining lime juice with sugar in a 5-liter container. Add the tea and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, 2–3 minutes. Add the Batavian arak and stir. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  2. Strain the punch into a punch bowl over a large chunk of ice and serve with freshly grated nutmeg.
