Ingredients:
- 220g raw sweet Italian sausage, removed from casings and crumbled
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 0.5 cup mayonnaise
- 0.5 cup Italian dressing
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
- 1 can (340 g) roasted sweet peppers, drained and chopped
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 loaf (350 g) Italian bread, cut into 1 cm cubes (about 8 cups)
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 190°C.
- In a 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until tender. Remove the sausage and onion from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the remaining ingredients except the bread to the same pan, stir, then add the bread.
- Spread the bread mixture evenly into a 22x32cm baking dish, pressing lightly. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
