Sweet and Spicy Brussels Sprouts topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 fresh bay leaf
- Half a red onion, chopped
- Half a red bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tsp. mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 900 g of Brussels sprouts
- 2 tbsp celery salt
- Black pepper
Preparation:
- In a skillet, whisk together the vinegar, honey, and broth. Add the bay leaf, onion, peppercorns, mustard seeds, and turmeric, stir, and bring to a boil.
- Trim the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Add them to the pan and sprinkle with celery salt and pepper.
- Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, then remove the lid and cook for another 5 minutes.
