Ingredients:
- 700 g pearl onions
- 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons golden raisins
- 0.5 tsp salt
Preparation:
- Blanch the onions in boiling water in two batches for 3 minutes. Peel.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the onion, turning occasionally, until golden brown and almost soft, about 15 minutes.
- Add the broth, vinegar, sugar, and raisins and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly and the onions are soft, 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and serve.
