Ingredients:
Casserole
- 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 can (300 gr.) cream of mushroom soup
- 3 cups of chicken broth for boiling beans
- 2 cups chopped green beans
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 can (80g) deep-fried onion rings
- 35-40 g butter
- A pinch of homemade seasoning, see recipe below
- 1 tbsp. grated cheddar cheese
Homemade seasoning
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1/4 cup black pepper
- 1/4 cup garlic powder
Preparation:
- Melt the butter in a large skillet. Saute the onion and mushrooms in the butter.
- Cook the green beans in chicken broth for 10 minutes and strain. Add the beans, mushroom soup, onion rings, and homemade seasoning to the onion mixture. Mix well.
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Pour the mixture into a greased 1.5-quart casserole dish. Bake for 20 minutes, then sprinkle the thick dish with cheddar cheese and bake for another 10 minutes, until hot and the cheese is melted.
Homemade seasoning: Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
