Thick caramel sauce

Preparation:

Place the sugar, syrup, and butter in a saucepan and slowly bring to a simmer until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves. Let the mixture simmer for a couple of minutes, then carefully pour in the cream. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens, becomes thick, and glossy.

Serve with a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 tbsp. plus 1 tbsp. l. brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dark corn syrup
  • 85 g butter
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • Serving suggestions: With vanilla ice cream
