Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp bourbon
- 12 slices double-smoked bacon
- Ground black pepper
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine honey and bourbon in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Place the bacon on the prepared baking sheet and fry for 10 minutes. Brush the bacon with the sweet mixture. Continue frying until deeply caramelized and crispy, another 10-15 minutes. The bacon will be truly crispy once it cools. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon of pepper and serve.
