Ingredients:
Margarita cocktail
- 60 ml. super green juice, see recipe below
- 60 ml tequila
- 30 ml orange-flavored liqueur, such as Cointreau
- A wedge of lime to wet the rim of the glass, plus a lime wheel for garnish
- Coarse salt, for garnishing the rim of the glass
Super Green Juice
- 1–2 large juicy lemons, peeled
- 1 medium Granny Smith apple, peeled and cored
- 2 leaves romaine lettuce
- 1/2 large cucumber
- 1 cup greens, such as spinach or kale
Preparation:
- Wet the rim of a margarita glass with a lime wedge, then wrap it at an angle, dipping it in salt so that it only coats the outside of the glass.
- Combine super green juice, tequila, and orange liqueur in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Strain into a prepared glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a lime wheel.
Super Green Vegetable Juice
Following your juicer's instructions, juice the ingredients in the following order: lemons, apple, romaine lettuce, cucumber, and kale. Serve immediately, adding ice if desired.
