Brownie Pie with Nuts

topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

    Brownie:

  • 6 tbsp (90 g) butter
  • 100 g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 250 g cane sugar
  • 3 eggs at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup premium flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1/2 cup toasted walnuts
  • Walnut halves for garnish (optional)
  • Ice cream or sweet whipped cream

    Cookie crust:

  • 150 g cookies, coarsely crushed
  • 50 g butter, chilled and cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup cane sugar

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.

Heat the butter and chocolate over low heat in a double boiler until the chocolate is almost melted. Remove the pan from the heat and stir until smooth and the chocolate is completely melted. While stirring, add the sugar, then the eggs, one at a time. Mix in the flour and salt with a rubber spatula.

Add the chopped nuts. Pour the batter onto the prepared cookie crust. Take walnut halves (optional) and place them on the dough, pressing them lightly into the dough.
  2. Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake until the outer 4-5 cm are lightly browned and dry, about 35 minutes. The center should still be slightly moist. If you insert a toothpick into it, it should come out with a small amount of batter. Cool the pie on a wire rack.

Cut the pie into portions and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.

Cookie crust: Preheat oven to 180°C.

Combine the cookie crumbs, butter, and sugar in a food processor until the crumbs are moist and sticky. Spread the mixture in the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch glass pie pan, pressing firmly to form a crust.

Bake the crust until golden brown and firm, about 15 minutes. Cool.

    Recipe cream pie.
