topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 0.33 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.66 cups premium flour
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 0.25 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of fine salt
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp (90 g) butter at room temperature
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar or cocoa powder for rolling

Preparation:

  1. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.

Microwave the flour in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute. Remove and stir well. Microwave for another minute or until the flour reaches 175°F (80°C). Transfer to a medium bowl and whisk together the cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside (see Note).
  2. To melt chocolate chips, place them in a suitable bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and microwave again. Repeat until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Add the granulated sugar, butter, and vanilla to the melted chocolate and beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add the flour mixture and mix well on low speed. (If necessary, set the mixer aside and mix by hand.)
  3. Using a tablespoon, scoop the dough into smooth balls and place them on the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle confectioners' sugar or cocoa powder on a plate. Before serving, roll the balls in sugar or cocoa powder. (The truffles can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.)

    Recipe truffles.

    Note

Flour is heated in a microwave to prevent illnesses associated with eating it raw or undercooked.
