Ingredients:

  • 450 g of ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon of prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 0.5 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup ketchup

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C.
  2. In a small bowl, combine horseradish, mustard, salt and pepper.

    In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, egg, and Worcestershire sauce. Add the contents of the small bowl and mix thoroughly. Add the breadcrumbs and mix thoroughly.
  3. Place the mixture into a rectangular pan and pour on top. ketchup and place in the oven. Bake for 45-60 minutes.

    This dish is paired with Merlot red wine.
