Crispy green beans in the oven

Ingredients:

  • 220 g green beans, trimmed
  • 1.5 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 tbsp. grated parmesan
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp. milk
  • 1 cup flour

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a wide shallow bowl, mix together panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and 0.5 tsp salt. In another shallow bowl, beat the eggs with the milk.
  3. Dredge the green beans in flour. Then, take a few green beans, shake off any excess flour, and dip them in the egg. Let the egg drain, then roll the beans in the breadcrumb mixture, patting gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well. Place all the breaded green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and spray thoroughly with cooking spray.
  4. Bake until golden brown and beans are crisp-tender, about 10 minutes.
