Nachos "Chili Dog"

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 450 g of ground beef
  • 2 sausages, cut into 1cm thick pieces.
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 can (220 g) of tomato sauce
  • 1 bag of corn tortilla chips
  • 1 package (280 g) of grated yellow cheddar
  • Sour cream, for serving
  • Salsa, for filing
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Preparation:

  1. Heat a medium frying pan over high heat. Add the vegetable oil, then the ground beef, and begin frying and crumbling the meat with a wooden spoon for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then add the sliced ​​sausages and continue frying for another 3 minutes. Add the onion and salt to taste, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and cumin. Cook for another 3-5 minutes. Add the tomato sauce and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to grill mode.
  3. Place corn chips on a baking sheet or casserole. Top with a chili dog. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Grill the cheese under a hot broiler for 2 minutes, until melted and bubbly. Drizzle with sour cream, salsa, and finely chopped green onions.
