Ingredients:
- 1 whole sheet puff pastry, cut in half
- 3 whole apples, cored, halved and sliced without peeling
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- Caramel sauce, for serving
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 220°C.
- Place the puff pastry rectangles on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray or lined with parchment paper. Add sugar, salt, and lemon juice to the apples. Stir. Let sit for a few minutes.
- Place the apple slices overlapping each other in even rows on the puff pastry rectangles. Bake until the tart is puffed and golden brown, about 20 minutes.
- Immediately remove from the pan and place on a serving platter. Serve with caramel sauce and chopped pecans.
